Which building type suits Kenya

For a family house that stays where it is built, a panel house or a steel framed house is the better value. For a site office, a guard house or accommodation that follows the work, a container home on a steel chassis is easier to move and needs no foundation beyond a level base.

Affordable prefab homes

Catalog models are architecturally ready, which is what keeps them affordable. In modular panel houses the electrical wiring runs over the plaster line, because the walls are produced as closed panels — that is a deliberate choice for speed and cost, and it makes later changes easy.

Steel framed houses in Kenya

Galvanised light gauge steel does not warp in humidity and is not attacked by termites, which matters more in coastal and lakeside areas than most brochures admit. The frame is calculated to AISI or Eurocode 3 for the wind loads of the site.

Shipping and delivery

We ship demountable through the Port of Mombasa on CFR or CIF terms. Customs duties, clearance and inland transport to Nairobi, Nakuru or Eldoret are arranged by your local agent. Up to ten bare flatpack units fit into one 40 ft high-cube container, which is what makes multi unit camps affordable; roofing, sanitary ware and furniture take part of that space, so the final count is worked out for each order.
